Hello,

My name is Tim Augustynen. I am a sound engineer from belgium. On this website I gathered all information there is to know about my professional life as a sound engineer. Over the years I have been obsessed by recording and mixing and thus these are the two things I do the most.

On one side I am passionate about recordings. A song that is 'right' can make people's hair go stand up straight. But before this happens there is a long way to go of accurate step-by-step precision work and creativity to get the job done.

On the other side I am a live mixer for many belgian bands. Every show a different location and situation is a challenge to still get the bands' sound and transpose this to an audience. In this case the word "creative mixing" sometimes gets another meaning to make things work in that particular club, on that particular p.a.-system.

I have been doing this job professionally for almost 10 years and it has never been easy. Being a sound engineer is not something you can study for. But music and sound has a lot to do with dreams. And as long as we keep believing in our dreams we will get where we want to be in time. It's because of some people I have met through the years and who believed in (my) dreams I am able to do the things I've always wanted to.
